SHEDS CONSTRUCTED AT MIRROR LAKE
AND ROCKY ARBOR
The building of sheds to store bundled firewood has been in the works for a couple of years. Money from two grants was secured and the Friends funded the balance of the project. Construction costs were kept low due to the Lake Delton Sportsman Club members volunteering to construct them. Their expertise and construction equipment really made this project fly. This was a group effort between park staff, Friends members and the Sportsman Club volunteers. Firewood sales are our main Friends fundraiser and last year we made $17,000.00 to fund park enhancements. Having a dry ventilated place to store our firewood is icing on the cake.
It was a joy to work at our first wood workday after the shed was built at Mirror Lake. We now have a secure on site place to store the wood splitters and supplies. The newly bundled wood is stacked in the shed which saves us much time and effort. The shed at Mirror Lake will also provide winter storage for the Friends pontoon boat.

Finally, we have our wood sheds!!!!!
