Friends of Pike Lake

Next event:  Candlelight Ski, Hike and Snowshoe
 February 11, 2012, 6:00- 9:00 pm

If you have attended this event in the past, you know how cheerful and beautiful it is, and fun for people of all ages.   If you have not yet had the experience, you are in for a treat.

Hike the candlelit trails with or without snow . . . and if
there is snow, skis or snowshoes just add to the fun.

There is a fireplace roaring in the warming shelter where refreshments and good
cheer welcome visitors.  Outside near the shelter is a big bonfire surrounded by sociable people.

As usual, our friends from the Northern Cross Science Foundation will have telescopes set up for viewing celestial objects.  Link to Northern Cross Science Foundation

We hope to see you there!

2012 Season Passes for the State Park and Forest are now on sale.
The Pike Lake DNR office is once again open both  Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  The booth at the beach parking lot is open 10:00-4:00 on weekends.

Friends of Pike Lake, Inc., a non-profit entity, supports the interpretive projects of Pike Lake Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. This volunteer organization is not part of the Wisconsin DNR, though the group supports the DNR’s local programs and works closely with park staff. Donations and sales of merchandise fund the group’s work. The Friends of Pike Lake, Inc. annually supports two community events -- the February candlelight ski/hike night and the September Community Campfire.
